PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Observed the need to create a new and safe route for lab sample collection in a chemical plant setting, as
the existing route placed employees at high risk. Analyzed existing route, developed new method, created
visually supported presentation, made presentation to engineers, operators and lab technicians and convinced
them to implement the new collection route. This resulted in the complete elimination of safety risks to the
employees.
• Developed and implemented a safety program including weekly housekeeping safety inspections to reduce
and eliminate the potentials for slips, trips and fall within a department of 122 employees.
• Coordinated a safety training program, provided orientation to contractors performing maintenance and
other assignments, issued safe work and confined space permits.This initiative greatly reduced the potential for
injuries and loss of productivity.
