EXPERIENCE
Dec’11-Present
Research Assistant, University of Kansas
Collaborated and lead the team on a federal based research project on impact of sustainable factors on state
transportation agencies.
Purpose of this research is to rank the states based on their sustainable initiatives and to create a knowledge
sharing platform for the pioneers in transportation.
Extensive literature review is carried out and various qualitative and quantitative sustainable parameters are
analyzed for more accurate results.
Ranking is done based on the data collected from all state DOTs and also from other trusted sources.
Survey form is created and information is collected from the DOTs of various states to analyze the data and
to rank the states based on their state agency's responses.
Results are evaluated and sustainable parameters are analyzed based on state’s budget, population,
ridership, gross domestic product and their qualitative sustainable features.
Comprehensive report on the ranks of sustainability on transportation sector and the required measures to
improve their efficiency is presented.
Dec’10-May’11
Student Intern, SRM Cement Industries
Initiated a project on concrete to determine the best proportion of course aggregates to increase cost
efficiency and strength to the concrete mix.
Partnered with the student group to develop a study analysis of drastic changes on strength of concrete on
alternative dry/wet cycles.
Determined the compressive strength of concrete at various stages of curing.
Scheduled and analyzed the actual and the critical path analysis using Microsoft project tool.
Jan’10-’10
Student Intern, Terra Space Pvt. Limited
The building design and drafting is rechecked and analyzed using Auto CAD tool for better cost
efficient design.
Analyzed using Staad Pro tool on different structural elements and supervised the team in the absence of
project lead.
Inspected the soil characteristics through various field and laboratory tests and presented the results.
Scheduled using Primavera tool and kept the track of the progress to know how much it deviates
from original scheduling.
