I am currently undertaking a NVQ in Level 3 Manufacturing which I am due to complete

in May 2013.

Employment History

1997 to Date Pickersgill-Kaye Limited

Firstly employed as an Assembler making cylinders for locks, etc and

warehouse. Since then I have undertaken varied roles and duties for the

firm including operating several machines including CNC machines,

Nisshinbo (punch & press) machines, power presses, pad printing,

machine operated saws (band saws), etc, and soldering (gas and electric).

During my employment with the company, I have also worked in the

canteen preparing the meals and serving the workforce and cleaning the

factory – offices and factory floor. My present role is as a Machine

Operator, primarily the Nisshinbo and power presses.

Reason for leaving – being made redundant in June 2013 due to the

downsizing of the Company.

1993 to 1997 Defenco

Employed as a Security Officer covering and patrolling several places of

business in the Yorkshire area, student accommodation and the Royal

Armouries. This role involved me being placed in a trustworthy position

and being left to use my own initiative whilst patrolling sites and dealing

with situations.

Reason for leaving - the opportunity to work at Pickersgill & Kaye

Limited arose.

1992-1993 G T Capital Security

Employed as Security Officer and cleaner for the company. This role

involved me patrolling several sites and being left to use my own initiative

whilst patrolling sites and dealing with situations.

Reason for leaving – this role was part time only and an opportunity for a

full time role at Defenco arose.

1991-1992 WRH Cleaning Services

Employed as a part time cleaner at West Riding House in Leeds cleaning

the offices to a high standard.

Reason for leaving – I wanted to increase my hours of work and the

opportunity to work as a Security Officer arose.

1990-1991 Tails Pet Store, Leeds Market

Employed as a Shop Assistant. My duties included operating the tills,

serving the customers, replenishing the stock in the store, stocktaking, etc.

This role helped me to develop good customer service relations and a

general good knowledge of the retail trade.

Reason for leaving – family commitments.

1985 to 1990 Several cleaning roles

Employed as a cleaner cleaning several premises including banks, private

houses, businesses, etc requiring me to be completely trustworthy and

reliable.

Interests

I like to spend my spare time with my family including my young grandchildren. I also

enjoy listening to music, following the Leeds Rhinos and walking with my dog.
