LANGUAGE APTITUDE:
I Aamir S. Khan am a native speaker of Pashto and Urdu/Punjabi. I was born and raised in
Punjab region of Pakistan where I finished my formal education and had some collage studies
which I did not complete.
I lived in Pakistan for 19 years where I utilized all three languages and immersed in the regional
culture.
In the ex-domicile I used to utilize Punjabi, the language of the region, as well the Urdu which is
the official language of Pakistan. Both were used at school and community.
At home I used Pashto with my family members and relatives.
I acquired Pashto from my parents. Pashto was use with my friends and I teach my wife.
While in Collage I had the opportunity to teach Urdu to High School students in Pakistan.
I immigrated to the US in May 2000, and became US citizen in 2007.
I did not get a chance to use my translation skills in any profession, however; I provided
interpretation and translation services between airline customers and CBP agents at Dulles
Airport.
