Prior to 1998, I owned and managed a Hallmark card and gift shop for 6 years and was Office manager for 2 yrs for an Eye Care Associates office in Cary, NC. The retail store was 24/7 and the Eye Care Associates manager position was 6 days a week. I was responsible for 6-8 employees plus 2 providers & their schedules at all times for Eye Care Associates. I had to prepare weekly employee schedules, oversee all patient appointments, prepare bi-weekly payrolls, perform employee evaluations, and maintain inventory.
I worked for home health agencies in the capacity of After Hours scheduler. I was responsible for maintaining coverage for all shift needs in-home health and hospital settings for enrolled and prospective clients. This was evening and week-end needs/hours.
I, also, worked in the political fundraising field in the early '80s. I managed a telemarketing office with 12-20 employees and organized receptions and dinners throughout the state and nation for various political candidates. I had large donor lists to co-ordinate, prepare text for callers, monitor billings, and prepare payroll.
