Drafters, Buyers, and Program Managers in the design and development of military and commercial
products while instituting processes from the ground up to control configuration management,
procurement, planning, assembly, and testing. Transforming a company that has spent the last 26 years
focusing on R&D into a company that designs and manufactures high volume products. Focused on
developing advanced thermal control and energy conversion technology into high-quality, cost-effective
commercial products. Currently providing solutions to NASA, DOD, DOE, DOT, DOC, and the USDA.
DRS Technologies, Melbourne, FL 2006 - 2012
NPI Site Operations Leader - Directed the New Product Integration of all Dismounted & Unmanned
Systems. Introduced new products through the entire design cycle and into manufacturing. Team
designed a Price To Win template and a Product Design Checklist to ensure all aspects of Cost, Design,
Procurement, Assembly, Test, and Qualification were successfully accomplished.
Program Manager / Project Engineer - Managed a cross-functional team that designed and
manufactured a small, lightweight, low cost, RoHS compliant gimbal consisting of a Day Camera, IR
Camera, Laser Pointer, and Tracker on a stabilized 2-axis system meeting MIL-STD-810 while
penetrating the UAV, ground vehicle, HLS, and maritime markets in both the military and commercial
sectors. This was the first program at DRS to use a combined DfMA / FMEA process.
Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager - Led a team of over 30 Manufacturing Engineers,
Technicians, and Tool Designers supporting all RSTA Lines of Businesses. Team played a key role in
turning around the TWS program from shutdown to producing over 50K units. Instrumental in the
introduction of Oracle, FAST, and a companywide employee suggestion program. Created disciplined
Engineering and Manufacturing processes for designing and manufacturing ruggedized laptops and
tablets for military and commercial applications. Supported the rapid growth of DRS Tactical from
$30M to over $400M while playing a key role in refining design and manufacturing processes.
Lockheed Martin, Ft. Worth, TX and Orlando, FL 2002 – 2006
Manufacturing Engineering Manager - CAM for Manufacturing Engineering and the Machine Shop
for the production of Simulators, ATE, and Optical Laser equipment in Orlando, Florida and Tijuana,
Mexico using Earned Value. Responsible for creating Manufacturing Guidelines and integrating the
Manufacturing and Design teams into an IPT using 6S and DFX. Implemented a new MRP system
(IFS). Offered Expatriate Senior PM over the Presidential Helicopter program in Yeovil, England.
Senior Staff Aeronautical Engineer - Selected by senior management to act as a Tiger Team Leader,
responsible for the management and direction of multifunctional organization members in a special
assignment to restore aircraft delivery schedules within financial cost constraints. Successfully restored
aircraft deliveries and avoided potential late delivery fees exceeding $100M. Responsible for all
Engineering disciplines for F-16 programs currently in production (Singapore, Israel, Greece, UAE, &
USAF). Presented two awards (from Engineering & Manufacturing) for being the key contributor for
restoring aircraft deliveries.
Confluent RF Systems, Palm Bay, FL 2001 - 2002
