Job Responsibilities:

Provide 24*7*365 network management, faults detection, analysis, troubleshooting, escalation and resolution of

all network related faults i.e core (switching), Transmission (radios, Muxes, ADM, Fibre Optics etc), Power

(Intrusion, Rectifiers etc).

Monitor the allocated network nodes effectively and promptly react to all

network-related faults, this includes the auctioning of all alarms and trouble tickets and adherence to

procedures.

Assume responsibility for correctly forwarding trouble tickets to Radio Engineers, Operations and

Maintenance Centre (OMC) personnel, High Level Support (HLS) and Value Added Systems (VAS) support,

follow up on these trouble tickets and ensure a speedy response.

Report to the NMC Coordinator on duty and escalate serious and long outstanding faults for his attention.

Identified the malfunctioning of network element for overall efficiency and trouble spots using various

NMC tools such as Ericsson TMOS, Huawei iManager M2000, Huawei Manager T2000 Transmission, Harris

Net Boss, Prov6, FACTS and some NMC customized tools.

Detecting and acknowledging of all alarms from all network elements such as Core, Transmission

and Power Networks.

Ensure that transmission and satellite related faults are correctly diagnosed and escalated to support

Perform NMC duties as instructed by NMC Coordinator e.g. correlation of outages, adjustment of availability

parameters, follow up and clearing of specific network faults.

Provide ideas and feedback on software tools, procedures and improvements to NMC functionality.

Develop technically and personally through attendance of technical and company development courses.

Escalate all faulty devices or hardware detected after troubleshooting/diagnosing (which cannot be resolved

Remotely) to the field support engineers (Radio, Transmission, ESS and others) for replacement in order

to improve network performance.
