Accomplishments/Career Highlights

Led a multi-million dollar engineering effort for a DX-rated Department of Defense program. All design and test milestones met on an extremely challenging 24-month schedule required to support an urgent procurement of five ship-sets for the Missile Defense Agency.

Led an engineering team for the parachute recovery system as part of the NASA Langley Max Launch Abort System program that culminated in a successful test. NASA required program execution under extremely challenging schedule constraints to support the NASA Constellation Program requirements (click to view the MLAS test).

Successfully directed a Kaizen Lean Enterprise team that addressed bid proposal process improvements resulting in reducing the response time to customer by 50%, and significant proposal preparation cost-savings.

Championed the implementation and training within the Engineering Division of the first company-wide Management Information System that resulted in significant efficiency gains (CostPoint).

Key member of the team creating implementing ISO9001 procedures for initial successful company accreditation Member of internal quality audit team for all subsequent (and successful) re-certifications.
