EXPERIENCE

10/2005 - 1/13, Toolroom Supervisor/Process Tooling Technician, Dura Automotive 301 S. Simmons St. Stockton, IL 61085. Responsible for planning daily work schedules for all 3 shifts of toolmakers. Selects workers and assigns tasks to be performed. Explains work requirements, methods, and procedures; instructs toolmakers in new procedures; and provides solutions when problems arise. Reviews work in progress or on completion. Schedules and approves leave of toolmakers. Orders and tracks inventory levels of perishable tooling. Responsible for the tracking and scheduling of PMs of 100 plus tools. Make and draw up engineering changes to tools, approve die designs, follow new tools being built and get quotes for new tools. Order spare parts for tool room equipment and all tooling.

04/1995 - 10/2005, Journeymen Toolmaker, Dura Automotive. Responsible for repairing and maintaining tooling. Manufactured new die components, heat treat various tool steels and troubleshoot progressive, secondary dies and roll mill dies. Program set-up and run CNC mill.

01/1990- 04/1995, Process Technician, Dura Automotive. Responsible for machine, equipment repairs and die and assembly change-overs. Also maintained robotic and resistance welders.
