To The Engineering Consulting Company Human Resources Staff,

I have over 35 years of electrical engineering experience in design, management and construction of commercial, industrial, educational, military and government facilities, hospitals, schools, hotels, libraries and courthouses. My responsibilities include proposal preparation, estimating, specification writing, incorporation of the latest requirements of building codes and standards and perform services during construction. I am experienced in the design of power distribution, lighting system, mechanical equipment control, fire alarm system and power grounding systems. In construction administration, I have hands-on experience on submittal reviews for approval of equipment, reply to construction clarification and request for information (RFI), perform field observation of electrical installation, report discrepancies found and recommends corrective measures to comply with codes and contract documents.

On each project, I am responsible to finish the project on time and complete in every aspect per scope requirements. I manage the project from the very start until the final submission to the client up to the completion or construction of the facility.

First, I have to study the scope and the using agency`s standards and requirements for the project. Then, set up the plan sheets and manpower for the design. I will then sketch the main power distribution for the facility thru a One Line Diagram and set up electrical room requirements, dimensions and preffered locations, for coordination with the architect and other disciplines. Request for RCP, reflected ceiling plans, for me to layout recommended lighting fixtures. For large projects, when they have an interior lighting designer, strict coordination is required to meet both the designer`s intent and what the code requires. I also design the lighting control to meet Title 24 requirements. Coordinate with other disciplines, like mechanical and plumbing, for their electrically operated equipment and how they are going to be controlled. Then provide power to these equipment via a motor control center as required.

And then, there is this coordination and design requirements on all Low-Voltage system starting from Fire Alarm, telephone and data, security, paging and background music to assistive listening devices. I manage and oversee the design and completeness of all the systems with the help of my team especially for large projects. I make sure that the layout and sequence of operation are per code and using agencies standard and requirements.

And finally, I do the construction management of all the projects I designed during construction, from shop drawing submittals review, responses to RFC`s, provision of sketches and to field inspection, equipment testing and/or verification of electrical installations.

All of my experiences have led me to this moment as it will open up the doors to many other opportunities. My background in the field of electrical design and project management originated from Guam. I started off as an electrical drafter, became an electrical designer, project estimator, develop project specifications, and moved onto a Senior Electrical Designer and Project Management position, which I assisted in customer service and marketing. My roots were grounded in good soil planted by my supervisors, who carried many great qualities that I plan to follow such as faith, trust, honesty and leadership. Leadership became an important role in my professional and personal life early in years. The support and encouragement from many of my colleagues led me to a noble position as a Project Manager at TTG. Their value system of Teamwork, Respect, Integrity, Positive Attitude, and Service has been important practices in my daily life. I found myself applying everything that I have learned from the basic elements to the business realm in correlation to the overall wellbeing of the employees. This is where I`ve learned that leadership is not a position, but an action. I have much influence within the company due to my hard work, persistence, dedication, motivation, and charisma.
