Professional Chess Player - Senior Chess Master
The United States Chess Federation (1985-present)
Trained under a Grand Master, in addition to honing skills through self-development, achieving
cutting-edge best practices in the sport and a top 400 world ranking. Gained significant earnings
throughout career, averaging annual winnings of $60K for 7 years of very active play. Currently
compete in one tournament each year to maintain analytical and strategic planning acumen.
Won the World Open Chess Championship as an amateur-and the largest prize in U.S. open
tournament history-and ranked as the highest-rated Nigerian chess player, ever. Achieved top
finishes in several open tournaments including New York, National, and World Opens.
