As Purchasing Manager:

Draft bid specifications and requests bid proposals from vendors.

Administer contracts for major purchases.

Supervise and direct purchasing functions such as product/service research, vendor selection, price and contract terms negotiation and purchase order completion.

Directed all plant purchasing functions.

Prioritize tasks and establish schedules to maintain uniform workload among Purchasing Department employees.

Orchestrated plant-wide inventory planning meetings

Drove cost reduction activities and maintained purchasing documentation.

Ensured stock inventory levels were maintained to adequately meet operation needs.

Prepares and issues request for quotation for materials, assets and services for the company

Expedited purchase orders by identifying and resolving vendor or shipment problems.

Maintained operating files of departmental information and prepared related reports.

Researched product market information relating to furniture, equipment and supply purchases and monitored delivery schedules to insure material arrived on time.

As Purchasing Officer:

Receives, reviews and enters purchase orders to the systems, while communicating with the Site staff and managers regarding purchasing procedures.

Served as primary point of contact and liaison with vendors for orders, bids, specifications, tracking; maintained documentation and performed other related transactions.

Coordinates with the accounts ensuring correctness and completeness of purchase orders as well as distributing purchase orders

Responsible for ensuring the proper account codes

Establish and maintains vendor files and purchase order files

Responsible for closing and revising purchase orders once approve to ensure proper invoicing of suppliers for accurate payments

Assist and prepares request and sending of documents to suppliers. Also preparing quarterly reports in order to ensure to auditors that proper purchasing procedure have been followed

Ensures that purchases with cost reaching the limited company standards have to obtained at least three price comparison from suppliers before routing purchase orders for approval

Maintains and orders office supplies for central office

Creates and maintains spreadsheet on vehicles, furniture purchase and assets.

Calls for repair and service for rentals and other forms of services stated on a purchase order

Performs clerical duties such as data entry, typing, filling, collating, copying and faxing

Prepares memos and routine correspondence for Purchasing Manager as required

Maintained departmental Procurement policy and procedure manual and recorded databases.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Elec. and Comm Engineering

Proven, ten years experience in manufacturing, sourcing, purchasing, and cost-estimating.
