Lead Graduate
Teacher for the School of Journalism and Mass Communication for the 1998-99
academic year, coordinating teacher training activities for 33 teaching and
research assistants and graduate part-time instructors. This was a university
appointment made upon recommendations from the SJMC Dean and graduate director. I participated in
the Graduate Teacher Certification Program from 1992-99, attending more than 40
workshops on topics ranging from Engaging Students in Active Learning" to
"Motivation and Culturally Responsive Teaching" and "Internet Applications in
the Classroom".
