Sr. Manager Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).

Responsible for all budgeting, reporting, and forecasting of sales and operating income for the $200M+ eCollege business unit of Pearson Company. Duties include leading budget development efforts, coordinating monthly/quarterly reporting process and templates, leading monthly sales performance reviews, new deal review and approval, investment modeling, operations finance reporting, and other various financial designated projects. Manage a team of four individuals, and coordinate efforts of finance leads across three business lines within eCollege, managing the consolidation and reporting of all eCollege entities.

Developed New FP&A Organization, Reporting Processes, Templates, and Structure: Launched the FP&A organization to support reporting to Pearson after recent eCollege acquisition. Grew FP&A team from zero to four Sr analysts/analysts. Created reporting templates and processes, generated the official budgeting and consolidation process and reports, developed KPIs to support strategic decision-making, and enhanced the robustness of finance business partnering. Established the team as a credible financial resource to our executive team, valuable and necessary in major business decisions and shifts in strategic direction.

Launched operational finance reporting. Developed a series of reports and metrics to provide utilization and service efficiency metrics to VP of Operations and Professional Services Director. We launched a standardized time tracking system allowing managers to monitor project cost performance, developed predictive budget performance metrics, and enabled credible and informed pricing decisions in our service proposals.

Developed ROIC business investment template: Created a new template to help executives understand the financial ramifications of investment decisions on new business ventures. Template included cash flow forecasts, margin adjustment analysis, NPV and IRR analysis, allowing for easy analysis and decision making on capital investment decisions.
