I am a native Russian speaker with excellent reading, writing and oral communication skills in both Russian and English, and can speak and understand several Russian regional dialects.

I am looking for either of the following positions: Russian Language Instructor, Russian Language Translator/ Interpreter/ Linguist.

I have had long and successful career as a Russian language and Science teacher at secondary level and adult education Russian language Instructor. Through the course of my career as an educator, I have acquired in-depth and diverse knowledge, methodology, techniques, and skills of effective teaching of a foreign language to students of different age groups and levels of knowledge of Russian language. I also have wide-ranging experience in providing expertise in Russian culture, economics, geopolitical, social issues, and current usage of the language.

In addition, I have solid experience in translating, interpreting, and transcribing documentation and conversational Russian. I have broad experience in writing and editing documents and reports as well as in reviewing audio and internet materials. I have high ability to identify and accurately summarize implications, facts, nuances, and abstract language of written materials and conversational Russian.

I have a Bachelor's degree in education from Minsk State Pedagogical Institute (Republic of Belarus, former Soviet Union). In 1994, I also received a minor in Russian Language and Literature from Wayne State University (Detroit, Michigan). In 1998, I completed a Master's degree program at Wayne State University (Detroit, Michigan), majoring in school administration and educational leadership.

I am certified by the State of Michigan in teaching Russian language and Biology. For seventeen years (1995-2012) I was employed by the Detroit Public Schools (Wayne County, Michigan) where I taught Russian language and Science to high school students.

I am a U.S. citizen since 1996. Currently, I have a security clearance required by the State of Michigan for all public school teachers and able to be processed for a US government security clearance.

My broad experience as an educator, native speaker of the Russian language, translator, interpreter, and linguist will enable me to bring my experience and a full range of skills to any position which requires advanced knowledge of the Russian language and Russia as a country
