Consultants assisting in the development and implementation of a new website for Australia, including database modeling and design using Erwin. Developed Stored Procedures, and DTS packages for the Contract Management application for Australia. JATO Dynamics (Carspecs.com) was used for car data. The new SQL/COM/ASP architecture was a significant improvement over the SQL/Cold-Fusion existing websites.

* Part of small team to implement a redesign of the Canadian website, including site redesign and new car data provider JATO which greatly improved the functionality of the website. Responsible for the Canadian transition plan to convert the existing databases and website to the new Baseline Architecture.

* Team member of project to internationalize the database and website technology using SQL2000 and XML. * Developed specialized T-SQL based scripts utilizing cursor methodology to process all RAS databases prior to consolidation/conversion from SQL Server 6.5 to 7.0, resulting in a very controlled conversion process, increased functionality and reduced costs.

* Supported the RAS database using SQL Server 6.5/7.0, responsible for DB Maintenance, Data Anomalies, Security, Backups, Restores. Also supported Development and QA environments (T-SQL stored procedures, db backups/restores, replication), resulting in user-controlled data and a smooth-flowing development environment.

* Automated several aspects of the HP system reducing data turnaround time from monthly to weekly by implementing a company-wide employee contributions system re-host, which utilized an INFOBOT (Touch-Tone Telephone) and mainframe DB2 database for data feeds. Ad-Hoc reporting used Vison:Data (Clear Access) from the Hughes distributed HP3000 Personnel System. Developed interface with FoxPro DOS/Windows for maintaining data files to a third-party vendor.

* Converted/upgraded the existing DOS/Windows environment to a client-server based, Sybase SQL system that was used across the Hughes Business Units by implementing the RESTRAC Applicant Tracking System upgrade/conversion, with Verity software for text retrieval. This resulted in a Windows-compliant system for all corporate users.

* Provided major support for the Corporate Payroll System in all phases of maintenance, Ad Hoc reporting, database maintenance, customer support including critical job processes, on-call responsibility, problem resolution and follow-up. System/Parallel Testing for major releases. This ensured that the system was maintained, weekly payroll checks for 64,000 employees were correctly produced and system enhancements occurred in a structured manner.

* Led development and programming projects for Software Change Requests Conversion, workflow analysis, Subsidiary conversions/implementations and Bonus Payrolls. Implemented Payroll On-Line Transactions User Manuals to increase user productivity when utilizing the Online Inquiry System.

* Developed Release Standards for the Payroll System. Performed extensive Tape Management System analysis, resulting in company cost savings of $198K.
