Supervise a team of over 100 Union Teamsters associates working under Industrial Engineering standards. Received an average of 1 Million cases a month, and shipped about 1.5 million cases a month as well to over 320 Albertsons stores in Southern California. Supervise warehouse distribution, shipping, receiving, and/or replenishment activities and personnel to ensure that all functions are performed within Company, Distribution Center, and Department guidelines. Control production standards and accuracy of shipments. Maintain daily production and accuracy records. Ensure the most economical and efficient use of equipment and personnel to accomplish assigned work. Work with Inventory Control Coordinator regarding warehouse space allocation and inventory control procedures. Maintain good working relationships with Company personnel, transportation and procurement departments..

Transportation Operations Supervisor

Supervise a team of over 100 Union Teamsters drivers working under Industrial Engineering standards. Dispatched them to over 320 stores for Albertsons in Southern California and I helped coordinate the functions of the transportation department: creating routes, supervising drivers, monitor policies, manage budget, coordinate routine maintenance, maintain related records, and ensure compliance with California Transportation Regulations. Maintain accurate records/documentation of training, licensing, testing, physicals, driving records etc. Assessing transportation and training needs: evaluating requests for service and current expertise levels of drivers, and creating plans to assure that both adequate transportation and qualified drivers are available to meet current needs. Defining routes: identifying the most efficient routes and arranging for ample staffing to meet the transportation needs of Albertsons stores. I am responsible to train, supervise, coach and evaluate the performance of drivers. Ensure drivers are trained, licensed, tested and certified as required by law to drive vehicles.
