Human detection and mapping for ButlerBot (Jan 2012 Sep 2012)

A pair of stereo vision cameras were used to detect human, filter wrong detections using motion, compute their distance using triangulation principle and place them in the map.

A differential drive robot is used to automatically learn line following using Q-learning technique and then follow a black line without any human intervention.

A system was designed to implement the speech recognition process of the robot named ButtlerBot. In which dialogue design was portrayed to cover all possible interactions between a drink serving robot and guests in the party, where lot of emphases were given to impose the speech engine as a humors personality.
