Graduate Students in Canadian Higher Education, and the Leadership
Implications; using mixed methods. Supervisor: Dr. Charles Webber,

Investigated the effects of reading online
for post-secondary distance students, and exploring alternative methods for
learning and acquiring content; using qualitative method, narrative inquiry.
Supervisor: Dr. Susan Crichton, 2006-2007.
Explored the
impact of a literacy enhancement program in an employability
readiness program using qualitative and quantitative methods. Participants
struggled with FASD. This program, delivered at the
University of Calgary, Division of Applied Psychology, focused on increasing
literacy and numeracy skills using workplace materials and integrating technology.
Results to be presented and published. Supervisor: Dr. Susan Crichton, 2005-2006.
Investigated, through a meta-analysis study,
how technology integration affects achievement of elementary and secondary
students worldwide; used quantitative methods. Results presented. Supervisor:
Dr. Piers Steel, 2004.
Performed a program evaluation of a learning
centre at an inner-city homeless shelter. Reviewed current program, interviewed
key staff, and conducted a literature review on education and homelessness.
Results and recommendations presented to shelter s educational advisory board
and international conference. Supervisor: Dr. Susan Crichton, 2004.
Explored the effects on achievement with
computer-assisted learning in mathematics for adults with learning barriers;
used both quantitative and qualitative methods. Results presented and published.
