Coach Evaluation

As the Girl’s Soccer Coach at The Villages High School, I have had the pleasure of having Savannah Shaw on my soccer team for two years. Savannah came out as a sophomore and instantly took over the goal-keeping position. She had 104 saves her sophomore year, and her junior year she had 246 saves in 17 games. Her junior season she was also Captain of the Varsity team for her excellent leadership on and off the field.

Not only is Savannah a knowledgeable goal-keeper, but also a great student and an amazing person. She has over a 4.0 in the classroom. She is a fast learner, and is easily coachable. She is a respectable young lady, and also a supportive team player.

With a young team, Savannah is often called upon to make great saves during the game. She is strong and has good hands. She understands the angles of the game and has good instincts to read the play. She is an excellent communicator on the field and directs her teammates throughout the game.

Savannah is very excited to continue her soccer career at the collegiate level. Contact me if you need a further evaluation.

Amanda Peters, Girl’s Soccer Coach

Scouting Report

Savannah Shaw is a dynamic young student athlete; she is strong, motivated, has desire to succeed, intelligent, athletic, coachable and a best friend to everyone. I had a chance to meet this young lady and was so overwhelmed by her. Everything above describes this young lady, and I know she is going to make somebody a good goalie. Savannah started playing soccer as a sophomore and unfortunately has not has an opportunity to play club because of playing year round athletics. She has competed in softball, basketball, volleyball and now soccer. She left basketball after a freshman year where she took up soccer due to a coach looking for a goalie. She joined her best friend on the soccer field and became an instant force. She is a strong girl who took to the challenge quickly studying angles, learning to punt, throw, and learn the game leading to a captain position as a junior. She likes a little contact in the 18 and will not run from a challenge. In 10 games as a sophomore she stopped 104 shots. She followed up with a very active junior year when she stopped an outstanding 246 shots in 17 games. She has proven to be very durable and continues to grow and learn. I believe the sky is the roof with this young lady; she is a sponge when it comes to learning and listening. It carry’s over in the classroom with honor and achievements to prove how dynamic Savannah Shaw is. Please take time to learn a little bit about Savannah I feel you will be touched as well. Please contact Savannah or Shaun Kitchen (abqpy7@r.postjobfree.com) if you need any additional information.
