On-site support for United States Africa Command (USAFRICOM) Intelligence Knowledge Development-Operations and Intelligence (IKD-OPI). Responsibilities include, gathering and mining of computer network data from a variety of network sensors to include Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Community Data Center (CDC) and local sensors and using intelligence community (NSA/CSS Threat Operations Center (NTOC), Regional Computer Emergency Response Team - Europe (RCERT-E), DoD M3 messaging, and technical products) resources to analyze, identify, and report cyber activities. Events of concern include type of attack, source, and potential attribution. Conduct retrospective and pattern analysis of activity for the purpose of Indications and Warning (I&W) support for USAFRICOM Operations (J3) and C4S (J6) Directorates. Products developed include daily Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) reports, twice weekly Cyber Threat Analysis Developed (CTAD) products, various cyber threat reports and other reports as necessary. Extensive experience using a wide assortment of analysis tools to include the DISA CDC/CENTAUR tool suite, FORTINET, ARCSIGHT Logger, and a myriad of other network defense tools.
