EMPLOYMENT HISTORY:

CRANE AEROSPACE, LYNNWOOD, WA - SR MANUFACTURING ENG. 2006-Present

Sustaining Senior Manufacturing Engineer responsible for dozens of product lines, both commercial and military. Responsible for lean manufacturing improvements. Sustaining of 7 Lean Cells with Single Piece Flow. Conducted lean efforts with many Kaizens. Recognized for design of unique presentation tools and support, which included POU in or behind the cells with optimized Kanbans and JIT configurations. I received three cash awards for new designs and cell improvement techniques. These lean cells included many Poka-Yoka and custom fixtures to improve production with color presentation aids for foolproof assembly. Qualified as a Standard-Work Tool Champion. Developed a laser station that reduced part-mark out-sourcing costs from $48.00 to $1.35 each label. Responsible for containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for field and manufacturing production. Purchasing agent/buyer for several groups.

FLUKE ELEC., EVERETT, WA - SENIOR MANUFACTURING ENG. 2001-2006

Trained by Japanese Lean Masters, I was qualified as a Black Belt in Lean Manufacturing. I was responsible for the Biomedical Product Manufacturing and move success that received an award for a 2 week physical move from Carson City, Nev. to Everett, WA.. I video taped all cell flows and parts placement before breakdown and had all cells in full production in just 2 weeks. I also received awards for unique Kaizen results, fixtures, presentation tools and configurations, along with significant improvements in manufacturing. Merging of Bio-med into another division resulted in my move away from Fluke.

SHAREGATE, INC., RENO, NV - SENIOR DESIGN & MFG. ENGINEER 1999-2001

Responsible for design and manufacture of a Wide-Band Voice / DSL System. Designed key elements and developed ADSL/HPNA Networks, for up to 8 New Telephone Lines on a single one wire pair. Elements involved Telephone, RF, Multiplexing, Testing, Prototyping, Test Equipment Design, Production, and PCB

layout and design. This was a state-of-the-art system using High Speed DSP, Xilinx, ASIC, etc. Analog Telco Design and PCB design was done using PCad schematic capture, board layout and routed by Specctra Software. Testing, Prototyping, and Technical Documentation work. Filed 2 US Patents. Sept 11, 2001 attacks in NY closed the investment company that financed Sharegate causing Sharegate closure.

K-S & ASSOC., NAPERVILLE, IL, CONTRACT DESIGN ENGINEER 1990-1999

Contract engineering with: Flight Visions Inc., Motorola Inc., Intellibit Corp., Matsushita, KDM Assoc., EVI Tech, Valence Semi, Molex, Southwest Research and Illinois Toll Authority: Designed digital hardware for Heads-Up Display; Analyzed and tested competitive cellular telephones; Developed a voice compression engine with Telco interface; Designed and produced Telco hardware interface; Sixteen layer surface-mount board layout for meteor collision hardware; Notebook and Pen Based Computer design; CDMA design analysis for efficient operation; Coaxial transmission cable acceptance and certification; PCMCIA Modem design analysis; Mechanical design of RF connectors; Refurbishment

As a Consulting Engineer I was responsible for writing proposals and designing large Statewide Fiber/Telco/Radio System Networks. SFA moved to Virginia - I did not move with them.

AIRFONE INC. - OAKBROOK, IL. - ENGINEERING GROUND DIRECTOR 1984-1986

Ground Station Director - was responsible for the Nationwide Ground Network for Airfone. Helped Design and Troubleshoot the Original Air to Ground System. I was responsible for 5 Engineers and 15Technicians, along with designing and modifying their Nationwide System and insured it went on line - first time. I was

responsible for the Nationwide Ground Network installation and maintenance. Maintained and modified 54 ground stations. Airfone was purchased by Western Union who replaced all leadership teams externally.

NANOTEL SYSTEMS - NAPERVILLE, IL. - SENIOR CIRCUIT DESIGNER 1982-1985

Designed and manufactured a complete product line of "Smart" Telephone Interface Circuits to reduce technician installed errors. Produced four (4) products and marketed them to the Telephone Resellers. Designed interface products which plugged into competitors equipment to double capacity in existing space. Financial trouble resulted in closure due to a customer defaulting in large contract payments.

GT&E, AE-LABS, TELLABS. - TRANSMISSION & DESIGN ENGINEER 1972-1982

I was responsible for Central Office designs, which included Transmission Equipment and Trunk Circuits. Also was responsible for Outside Plant designs, State Radio Interference, Microwave and T-Carrier System Designs. Designed and installed a 2 GHz Microwave Network, which included path and tower design.

Transferred to GT&E-AE Lab for circuit design of a new GTD#5 EAX electronic switch and associated trunks and other interface circuits. Received cash awards for 2 US Patents and one Belgian Patents. Started up a new telecommunications company which included designed of analog circuits for Tellabs Inc.
