To Whom it May Concern,

Please find attached my resume for your consideration. After graduating from Notre

Dame Law School, I am looking to return home to excel as an advocate. The opportunity

to work in DuPage County allows me to cultivate my legal skills while bringing in

business from the area I grew up. Moreover, working in DuPage offers an ideal

environment for me to develop into a fully-rounded attorney, creating a mutually

beneficial relationship for both my employer and me.

During my time at Notre Dame Law School, I have demonstrated my success both

inside and out of the classroom. Through my first two years, I garnered a GPA of

3.617/4.00, demonstrating my aptitude in the classroom. My efforts garnered a faculty-

nominated position as a panelist representing the Class of 2011 to the Notre Dame Law

Association Board. I balanced my academic success with many extracurricular activities,

including an officer appointment on the Journal of Legislation, as well publication in the

upcoming edition. Supplementing my academic success, I summered in two successful

but distinct law firms. Most recently, I worked at Paul Hastings, working in a wide array

of departments while completing training programs to continue my advocacy ability. In

my first summer, I worked at Meckler, Bulger, Tilson, Marick, & Pearson, assisting top

partners with research, drafting and filing of court documents, depositions, and

generating strategies. Prior to law school, I worked in both political and international

non-profit forums, acquiring valuable professional experience in an array of settings.

I have attached my resume for your consideration. I look forward to meeting with you to

discuss my role please contact me immediately. If you have any questions or require any

additional materials please do not hesitate to ask.

Sincerely,

Shawn Clancy
