1999 to Present Vice President, Founding Partner - Applied Seismic Research Corporation
Accomplishments: Progressed unknown Russian scientific apparatus that creates downhole seismic shockwaves for EOR into a commercially viable product in US/ME/Africa markets. Developed were marketing and sales programs; new tool from concept which ran 40 seconds to an operational lifespan to over one year; secured over 50+ field pilots in all types of formations; achieved certification by Texas Railroad Commission as official EOR process, first new certification by TRRC in 30 years; published/presented technical papers; placed worldwide patents; and established a widely recognized EOR service in the industry.
1994 to 1998 Technology Mgr. - Atomic Energy Authority of the UK
Accomplishments: Developed US market for several oil and gas software programs and secured additional emerging oil and gas technology for commercialization. The AEA desired a US oil and gas consultancy company with software licensing. I brought to market, supported, did training for, and oversaw further development of the AEA`s material balance and nodal analysis software packages; in addition, secured and ran the contract for commercialization of a new USC/GRI PTA program for gas storage.
1980 to 1993 Sr. Reservoir Engr. - Reservoir Consulting Services owned by Otis Engr.
Accomplishments: Performed hundreds of detailed reservoir and production analyses including: pressure transient, material balance, analytic/finite-difference reservoir modeling, boundary/interference studies, and decline curve, economics and nodal analyses. These detailed engineering studies were presented to clients and in many cases formed the basis for important reservoir development decisions. I developed nonlinear regression computer programs for pressure transient, material balance, decline curve, economics, nodal applications and an extensive analytic-EOS PVT software library. All computer programs were developed and applied on several computing platforms including Unix, VMS, Windows, OS/2, and DOS, in C, Algol, Fortran, and Pascal.
Testified as an expert witness in several court cases involving pressure transient and reservoir simulation modeling studies. All cases were settled in favor of our client.
In addition to a solid understanding of transient/steady-state fluid mechanics, reservoir, and production engineering I have extensive field experience in fracturing, cementing, well testing, and general operations.
