Robert Newbry was born on 21 November 1983, in Twin Falls, ID, didn't stay long and traveled all over the North-West United States. Systems and Network Administrator
I perform advanced systems installation, operation, integration and troubleshooting in order to maintain optimum data communication systems operations. Plan and supervise the installation, configuration and maintenance of all data communications systems and network services, including the Defense Message System (DMS), encrypted Exchange/Outlook, in both a garrison and deployed environment. Additionally, plan and design Local Area and Wide Area Networks and link heterogeneous networks through the application of appropriate data and telecommunications hardware and software. Develop and execute plans for tactical data communications systems and database integration in order to ensure these systems are properly integrated at all levels. I also mentor and manage my subordinates, prepare reports and presentations, and supervise operations.

Developed, documented, virtualized and migrated 30 physical servers running critical data separated geographically, for more effective communications.
Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)-Europe, Stuttgart, Germany 2009 - 2012
Supervisor of Information Technology Operations
Responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of the DISA-Europe unclassified and classified networks to include: 52 servers, 923 peripherals and all other interconnecting devices in support of 430 personnel. Completed and closed over 1900 Trouble Tickets in the LAN, to include the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of over 600 applications on client workstations.
Implemented scheduled backups with a backup policy for the unclassified and classified networks for SharePoint and Exchange databases, to include a grandfather, father, son media rotation with 18 months of restore capability; seven years of off-site tape storage.

Executive Support
Supervisor of Executive Support, for blackberry, Command Control Communications Computers (C4) Services and the schedule, set-up and take down of Video-Teleconferencing (VTC) for: Marine Forces Reserve (MFR), Marine Forces North (MFN), 4th Marine Air Wing (MAW), 4th Marine Division (MARDIV), 4th Marine Logistics Group (MLG). Responsible for operating cryptographic equipment that is used to code, decode and transmit secret information across a Wide Area Network in support of encrypted e-mail (DMS).
Key Contributions:
During the evacuation from New Orleans, led critical components of a network support team that was responsible for moving and managing all data communications services for 455 branch offices and detachments located at 185 sites.
Implemented a VTC facilitation platform to access VTC terminals remotely, saving over $1.1 Million and 1100 hours per year, allowing for me to be in two places at one time.
