I worked as a web developer for a few years, developing web applications and

whole web sites for my customers and myself. First I used PHP and my own

framework written in it, but after some time I realized that PHP, for many

reasons, was not for me. So I started to program web applications with the

Django framework, which allowed me to develop quality web sites and spend

time thinking of the unique part of this application. I mean that I don t have to

deploy or (what s even worse) develop a lot of common parts over and over

again in every application I program (e.g. user authentication, comment system,

etc), and it is really valuable, as it lets you get much more quality, usability and

security.

I also have a Linux background, as I work in the Linux environment (including

desktop usage and server maintenance) for about 8 years. This includes setting

up servers (including the XEN virtualization techonology), server software,

deploying web sites and setting databases (including master-slave/master-

master replication).
