Founder of a complex design, construction, and real estate solutions company. Responsible for management, operations,

full P&L, sales, negotiations, and client relations.

Signed a contract with Marquette University to provide preconstruction services for a new $15,000,000 Jesuit Residence.

Contracted to stabilize the value of a large condominium project with serious design and construction flaws.

Engaged in the development of a new housing project in Milwaukee, WI, with preliminary design, market studies, and

securing equity complete. Due diligence issues and land purchase negotiations are in process.

OPUS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION 1994 2011

VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER, OPUS NORTH, 2002 2011

Led operations and held full P&L responsibility for Opus North Project Management with offices in Chicago, Milwaukee,

Detroit, Columbus, and Indianapolis. Additional executive responsibilities were added when a new operation in Toronto, Canada,

was opened in 2004. Business Unit annual sales volume on average amounted to $450 million dollars.

Opportunity: Newly formed Canadian Operation quickly generated $100 million dollars in deals through an aggressive

marketing program, but had no practical means of executing the proposed projects.

Actions: Installed a local team made up of an architect and three construction management professionals.

Led the team through the process of learning Opus operational procedures.

Learned Canadian business protocols while building relationships and trust within the newly-formed team.

Made certain all Canadian laws and licensing requirements were met for design and construction.

Results: The office delivered every project on time and within budget until Opus left the Canadian market in late 2009.

Opportunity: A long-standing relationship with Marquette University was floundering due to negative media concerning Opus

East and Opus West performance at a time when the securing of the project of building the new School of

Engineering was critical to the profitability of the company and the continued employment of key staff members.

Actions: Devoted complete focus to communicating, meeting, and demonstrating to Marquette that Opus North was

capable of producing results.

Engaged support from the Corporate Office in Minneapolis to further assurances.

Structured contract terms that provided several forms of early warning should Opus fail to meet its obligations.

Results: The University signed the formidable contract that served as a linchpin to securing new business. The deal was

leveraged, leading to successive contracts at a time when the market had flat-lined.

Additional Achievements:

Delivered the only successful retail development in the Midwest in the Shoppes at Fox River, which earned a national

Design Build Award from the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA).

Completed several benchmark projects including the Marquette University Law School, Zilber Hall, Columbia

Muskuloskeletal, St Mary s Clinics, WEYCO Shoes, Patrick Cudahy Meats & The Northwestern Mutual Franklin Campus.

Relocated the Milwaukee office from the suburbs to downtown sending a strong message to the local business community.

Following the move, sales were closed on Patrick Cudahy, UWM Athletic Center Design, and WEYCO Shoes projects.

The Milwaukee Office was the only successful office in the Opus System during 2009 and 2010.

Managed a staff of Project Managers, assumed the lead project management role on all major projects, and held full P&L

responsibility for the Construction Management Group in Milwaukee. Member of the Design/Build Leadership Committee that

Formed a team to design and deploy a system that would allow national cost data to leveraged by all 28 offices nationally.
