ever comprehensive fundraising campaign. The campaign s primary

print newsletter, Acceleration, earned gold in the CASE District VII Awards of Excellence for

2012. Our custom-

designed San Jos State 3D Viewmasters are sure to be competitive next

year.

Sacred Heart Community Service San Jos, Calif. 2010

In a temporary role funded by a stimulus grant, I was brought into Sacred Heart

Community Service to tell the story of one of the South Bay's best established non-

profits.

Beyond creating editorial content, I was also project manager for Sacred Heart s website

refresh.

Roche Palo Alto Palo Alto, Calif. 2007-

2009

I developed and executed online internal communications for a 1,000-

employee

pharmaceutical research center. As a communications specialist, I wrote extensively about

challenging science topics and developed a communications campaign on behalf of the site

president addressing Roche's $47 billion merger with Genentech. The merger ultimately

led to the site being closed.

Mirror Newspapers Royal Oak, Mich. 2004 2006

Starting out as an intern, I eventually became city editor for the Mirror's weekly 50,000-

circulation Sterling Heights newspaper. In this role, I effectively managed contributing

writers, photographers and copy editors to build a newspaper noted in the community for

it willingness to tackle difficult issues.

Technical Skills

Adobe Creative Suite, content management systems (Sharepoint, Wordpress, Drupal, etc.),
