PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Court Services Director: Jackson County Circuit Court 2010-2012
Implemented an Integrated Imaging System. Court required means to image 1.5 million documents yearly. Using SDLC principles facilitated IT and outside vendors integrating a bar code and capture process for scanning and auto attachment for filings. Implemented daily batch loads and backup processes, reducing need for file folders and storage. Slashed $50K annually.
Improved AP Process. Court was plagued with slow AP processes. Re-engineered business process,successfully integrating imaging capabilities and workflow, resulting in improved customer service and reporting. Reduced three-week process, to just seven days. Offset banking charges by facilitating vendor discounts for quicker pay. Increases efficiency and saved $12K annually
Digital Audio/Visual Presentation System. Successfully integrated vendor and internal clients, to research, procure, schedule, implement and train multiple AV systems. Creating an environment where auditability and visual access is excellent, giving our stakeholders abilities they didn`t have before and providing ADA accommodations when necessary.
Designed and Delivered New Facility Under Budget. New courtroom was requested in an occupied space. Assumed role of General Contractor, bidding out areas of expertise with $376K budget. Provided analysis of archetictual drawings, scheduling of numerous sub-contractors, oversaw construction, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality control. Completed project in 5 months and savied $150K over original estimate.
A.D. Court Services: Jackson County Circuit Court 2001-2010
Directed Cost-Effective Systems Integration. Outdated business processing at County Court caused delays and redundancy. Assessed ERP options, formulated effective RFP to target economical vendor. Selected supplier directed multi-phase implementation and training for all end-users managing project life cycle. Improved workflow, reporting and provided client with requested efficiency and saved~800K over estimate.
Slashed Costs and Streamlined Operations with Leasing Solution. Disparate equipment contracts were costly with inadequate SLA`s and SOW`s. Managed multiple projects to capture required data, recommended and implemented a 5-year lease-replacement plan and chose single vendor, providing in-house technician. Cut costs 25%, saving $30K annually and boosting service rates to 99%.
Implemented Large-Scale Security System. Building lacked effective security for judges and staff. Assigned project leadership, facilitated security analysts and IT to produce project scope, integrated a scalable and IP-based security system. Deployed a fully digital system, including 100 cameras and digital recorders with 55 access control points with HID readers eliminating management of keys.
A.D. Corporate Planning and Development/Mgr of Central Supply: TFH L&T 1980-2000
Analyzed and implemented corporate wide communications contracts. Operating in 16 states with different LEC and data vendors, Provided project management methodologies, consolidating all applicable services to achieve a new master voice/data contract that reduced cost by 22% and increased line capacity across the network.
Multi-Year Standardization Initiative of Business Equipment. TFHL&T had many different models and providers of all types of business equipment in 63 facilities. The overwhelming capitol expense and associated maintenance was driving operational cost higher each year. After inventories and analysis were completed, moved to a co-terminus leasing option on a national level, and brought in the multi-functional concept and a true cost per page. This realized a >25% cost reduction and our up time service levels exceeded 97%.
