training and evaluation, community development, educational and developmental

programming, budget management, Hall Council advising, payroll, duty

scheduling, counseling, crisis management, serving as a disciplinary

hearing officer, facility management, assisting with student retention,

implement safety and security programs, and operating a 24-hour front desk

service operation.

Assistant Director responsibilities include coordination of the hiring,

training, inservice, evaluation, payroll, and duty scheduling components

of managing a staff of fifty. Design, edit, and publish the monthly

resident assistant newsletter; oversee coordination of the resident

assistant appreciation day; and serve as a first-year experience mentor.

Concurrent assignment as a live-in Residence Hall Director for one

traditional residence hall housing a total of 400 first-year and 50

upper-class students. Residence Hall Director responsibilities include

supervision and mentoring of two Senior Resident Assistants and thirteen

Residents Assistants, management of an operational budget, programming,

counseling and intervention, serving as a judicial hearing officer,

advising hall government, and maintenance.
