PROJECTS AND PAPERS
Packet Monitoring System for ORBIT Aug 2008-Dec 2008
Develop a system to monitor packets on ORBIT testbed and detect any spillover event. The system
continuously sniffs packets and stores them in the database for analysis.
Network Architecture and Routing Design Project Jan 2008-May 2008
Designed and implemented a multicast routing protocol using Forward and Fork ideology in C++, on a
LINUX platform; by emulating a point-to-point communication link and abstracting the real physical
connection.
Web-Based Stock Forecaster Project Jan 2008-May 2008
Developed a web based application to predicted prices for stocks by implementing Regression Analysis
and using historical stock data pulled from Yahoo! Finance which was updated in MySQL database using
PHP.
A Cluster-based Adaptive Sampling Scheme for Wireless Sensor Networks Aug 2007- Dec2007
Devised a scheme for energy efficient field estimation which exploits spatial-temporal correlation using
a subset of sensors nodes.
Microcontroller based Temperature measuring kit Aug 2005- Jun 2006
The project aided to measure the temperature of soil and an LED was interfaced with the
microcontroller which blinked with temperature variation and thus helped in enhancing the crop yield by
supporting the irrigation system.
Paper- Mobile social networks
Presented a research paper on the network design and architecture of Mobile social network in which
10-50 users in geographic proximity can exchange information, participate in games and collaborate using
mobile computers and cell phone type devices .
