Project: WIMAX based Vehicular Network Demonstration at 9th GENI conference Team Leader 02/2010-present

Design and implement a vehicular system on ORBIT Testbed through WiMAX connection, which continually

collects data and shows the real time data visualization results.

Client side: Design, implement, and test the data collection and WiMAX connection mechanism in onboard client

nodes

Server side: Design and develop the backend real-time data processing subsystem

Project: ParkNet, Real Time Vehicular Parking Information Network Vice Team Leader 04/2009-06/2010

Design, implement and evaluate ParkNet, a low cost novel vehicular system with onboard sensors that detect and

track parking spaces occupancy information while driving by.

Analyze the feasibility and cost of this novel parking information detecting system

Design and develop the entire system including both hardware implementation and software programming

Initiate the design of parking availability detecting algorithm

Test, analyze and evaluate the system performance
