EXPERIENCE
Optimized Access Point Association Management via Q learning
Jun. 2009
Present Winlab, Rutgers University
o Implemented various bandwidth estimation schemes for different
transmission scenarios in 802.11 MAC protocol using Qualnet (C
o Developed Q learning based association strategies which can reduce the
association overhead when comparing to existing AP load based
association schemes.
o Proposed novel probabilistic switching schemes which can alleviate the
"thrashing" effects in a multi client multi AP environment.
Road Monitoring and Alert System in mobile distributed sensing scenario
Jun. 2007
Present Winlab, Rutgers University
o Designed and implemented the Geo Cache protocol, which provides the
mobile clients with reliable and low cost service by maintaining location
based information within a geographical area.
o Tested the performance of the protocol using NS 2(C++) with traces
collected in the southern NJ area and proved to be effective.
R Sentry: 2D adaptive scheduling framework for wireless sensor networks
May 2007
Winlab, Rutgers University
Jan. 2008
o Studied the problem of wireless sensor networks with high redundancy,
and proposed using redundant nodes that work as sentries (R Sentry) to
protect against random node failures.
o Implemented the R Sentry protocol using TinyOS(Nes C) and tested the
protocol on a 15 mica2 motes platform.
Fire Emergency System based on Windows CE.net
Mar. 2005
Jun. 2005 University of Science and Technology of China
o Implemented the sensor board program which collects readings from
temperature sensors and periodically transfer data to server.
o Implemented the central control program which processes the
temperature readings and detects abnormal conditions.
Robogame 2004, USTC
Jul. 2004
University of Science and Technology of China
Nov. 2004
o Designed a human shaped, wheel based robot s mechanical structure.
o Designed the circuit boards that control the robot s 13 motors.
o Implemented the program which controls the robot to perform a 4
minutes dance.
