Deployed BMC Patrol (Enterprise Monitoring software) at multiple client sites

such as Newbridge Networks, Revenue Canada and Statistics Canada. Most

installations required implementing BMC Patrol software on dozens of NT

servers, most every flavor of unix servers (IBM/AIX, SGI/IRIX, SUN/SOLARIS,

HP/UX), VAX/VMS, and implementation of the SAP and Oracle monitoring

modules. Also integrated Patrol alarms to CA-Unicenter TNG framework and

HP-Openview Network Node Manager for E-Paging and emailing through BMC

PatrolView.

Maintained some AIX environments for local Oracle developers. Implemented

BMC Patrol on these computers in order to maintain sanity of logs, cpu,

memory and disk utilization

Designed and implemented the production environment for Shipahead.com

Portal. Consisted of selection, configuration, ordering and installation of

hardware (DELL 6350 NT servers, SUN 450 server running Solaris 7 and

Oracle 8.04, a multitude of RAID in various modes). Also had to design

network environment using Cisco and load dispatching equipment.

Installed routers, hubs and switches from 3Com, Cisco, Cabletron. Installed

3Com Corebuilder 7000 ATM switch for central switch.

Used both Cabletron Openview (HP) and 3COM Transcend for Windows (on HP

OpenView) to monitor these networks through SNMP and RMON. Used

Lansight software for sniffing and decoding packets.

Managed a team in building 550 PC clones in a few weeks time in order to

kick-off the College.
