A privately owned trucking company with terminals in 7 states operating over 500 power units and employing over 650 people. Specializing in hauling building products throughout the Midwest and East Coast regions, for companies like United States Gypsum, Certainteed and Georgia Pacific.

Terminal Manager_ Aliquippa Pa, (2010- 2012)

Direct responsibility for operations and financial results for the terminal including drivers, dispatch, recruiting, and mechanics. Continually develop and train the team to ensure current skills and best practices within the transportation industry are being utilized.

Manage a group of 5 support staff and 37 drivers with gross revenue of $6 million.

Responsible to insure all D.O.T. and company policies were followed.

Trained the drivers and staff on proper use of Qualcomm to ensure timely and damage free delivery of customer's product.

Serve on the committee to monitor and adjust driver pay, to improve driver turnover rates, and increase the number of qualified drivers being hired and retained.

Trained driver manager on hours of service to improve utilization of our drivers.

Improved the overall revenue per mile by working with other terminals to eliminate deadhead miles.

Worked with the other terminals to improve their efficiencies and equipment utilization.

Direct responsibility for the operation and financial results of the terminal in Aliquippa, Pa. Including drivers and support staff. Responsible for all safety training of the drivers and dispatchers, to insure compliance with Federal, and State safety regulations and company policies. Served as a Management Trustee on the health and welfare fund.

Managed a group of 10 support staff including 3 driver managers,4 mechanics, 3 office clerks and 75 drivers and maintained all training necessary to operate efficiently.

Established preferred vendors and negotiated rates to get the best cost for services like physicals and drug test.

Managed the inventory of parts and tires to maintain the trucks at the lowest cost.

Maintained the lowest accident and workers comp rates in the company.

Investigated and cleaned up accidents that happened in Western Pa or Ohio.

Served on the committee that wrote and implemented the safety program for all drivers
