ACADEMIC PROJECT

FINGER PRINT BASED DIGITAL VOTING MACHINE. This project is implemented using the PIC16F877 microcontroller. The most common communication interface for short distance is RS-232 is used for serial communication. The Max-232 is a dual RS-232 receiver / transmitter that meet all RS232C specifications.

An Optical finger print sensor is used for registering the finger prints of every voter. The finger prints along with their personal information are also stored in the database. While election if matching of finger print occurs the person is allowed to vote, otherwise the person is not allowed to vote revealing he is an unauthorized voter.
