Worked as primary MOT engineer for a large segment of the project. Signed and stamped design plans for the final MOT phase of the segment. Responsible for many cross discipline reviews with roadway, drainage, lighting, signals, signing/striping, geotechnical, and landscaping. Maintained constant contact with the contractor to resolve any concerns and help maintain an accelerated Design-Build schedule. Met regularly with UDOT to resolve concerns and propose design exceptions. Assisted in final roadway design. Used InRoads for full roadway modeling.

I-15 South Design-Build; Las Vegas, NV (NDOT)

Responsible for the MOT design of the I-15/I-215 system interchange near Las Vegas Blvd. Coordinated with many disciplines and changed design to accommodate concerns that were discovered in the Design-Build process

South Davis Transit Study; Davis Co, UT (UTA/UDOT)

Designed horizontal and vertical alignments, road widening, and drainage design. Responsible for study of utility relocation, alternatives analysis, and assisted in writing the final environmental document. Scheduled meetings and communicated frequently with representatives of the UTA, UDOT, local city officials, and other comunity stakeholders.

Airport Light Rail Transit, SES and Preliminary Design, Salt Lake City, UT (UTA)

Part of team that implemented a parallel design track progressing all elements of design that were not in dispute with the environmental study components. Led the QA/QC procedures for multiple project design submittals.

1000 North/SR-112 to 600 West, Tooele, UT (Tooele Co/UDOT)

Resolved utility conflicts and met with utility officials regarding mainline power realignment. Led the QA/QC process for project.

Salt Lake Co. East-West Transportation Planning Study, Salt Lake City, UT (UDOT)

Technical review of specifications, plans, and purchase orders upon receipt of projects. Preparation of design calculations and process calculations for biological process equipment. Checking of technical shop drawings to ensure proper fabrication and fit-up. Preparation, checking, and coordination of technical submittals for clarifiers and oxidation ditch equipment such as mixers, surface aerators, by-pass gates, adjustable weirs, electrical control panels, process logic controllers, dissolved oxygen sensing systems and mechanical drive units.

Quality Control Experience:

Fabrication shop inspector of steel process equipment. Inspections included checking weld quality, fabrication defects and correct dimensioning with proper tolerance. Coordination of assembly of water and wastewater treatment equipment with on-site contractors. Performance of testing; such as torque tests, run-out tests, and general inspection of the final assembly of wastewater treatment equipment. Training of plant staff on operation, maintenance, and process of wastewater equipment.
