PROCESS ENGINEER / PROGRAM MANAGER

Extensive experience in program management and process engineering within GEas renowned glass manufacturing business. Managed an array of technical programs ranging from cost out, quality, productivity, and capacity to maintenance and environmental, health and safety. Managed projects ranging in value from $3 thousand - $5 million. MS in Electrical Engineering with skills in using the team concept and Six Sigma Methodology for successful project development, execution and plant buy-in. Consistently meets project deadlines within financial budgets while hitting benefit goals.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

GE HOME & BUSINESS SOLUTIONS a LIGHTING, Nela Park Cleveland, OH 1992-2012

Lead Product Total Cost Out (PTCO) Engineer 2003-2012

Directed multi-plant programs to develop and execute Cost Out Programs valued at $500 thousand - $1 million per plant per year. Worked with plants to develop and execute Quality, Maintenance and EHS Programs. Used Six Sigma Methodology in the scoping, development and execution of all programs. Worked closely with designers, engineers, manufacturers, suppliers, vendors, and EHS.

o Led a $5 million dollar project from project conception to plant production including product and equipment layout. All lines in were returned to production within 1 week at expected efficiency levels.

o Managed financials and oversaw costs for restructuring two plants within a very aggressive schedule.

o Generated annual benefits between $800M and $2MM for four consecutive years.

o Led program to develop innovative packer using the Quattro robot in a unique / creative direction, tackling each product type with unique sets of challenges. Generated benefits of $685M.

o Received GE Managerial Award for a Logan One Tank Furnace Conversion (2007).

Technology Black Belt 2001-2003

Received Black Belt Certification, developing an in-depth knowledge of Six Sigma. Assisted and coached team members on Green Belt Projects.

o Worked with plant from scope development to execution of capacity, productivity, and quality programs generating benefits, generating $500M annually.

o Led a aPartners in Qualitya collaborative effort between technology, manufacturing and customers to improve outgoing product and coordinate product design between internal and external suppliers.

o Received three (3) GE Managerial Awards: Quality System installation (1996); Prototype Rim Inspection project(2000); and Mold Latching Line 1 conversion (2001).

Process Engineer 1992-1995

Instrumental in developing statistical based quality systems for (4) glass manufacturing plants. This system was instrumental in increasing plant efficiencies 5% while providing better quality product to all customers.

o Worked with customers to solve process engineering issues. Eliminated several defects and identified key process input variable that saved plant and customers $800M.

o Played major role in developing vision systems for incandescent, press ware and fluorescent tube products.
