Capgemini / Warner Bros. - Senior Systems Engineer (Aug '09 - Present)
Responsible for integration, lifecycle and support for 2,000+ Macs at Warner Bros.
Completely revamped existing Casper infrastructure, migrated to virtualized
Windows Server environment. Expanded Casper and NetBoot infrastructure to cover
Europe and Asia. Redefined roles and responsibilities, processes and procedures to
leverage existing infrastructure. Partnered with vendors to improve their products for
enterprise - like JAMF Software (Advisory Council), Adobe (AAMEE/AUSST/RUM
tools from inception, and Birds of a Feather), Parallels (auto deploy tool) and Extensis
(UTS Beta). Mentored support staff on all aspects of Mac support including imaging,
packaging, deployment, central management, and support. Liaised with production
users and managers, breaking down barriers that existed for years.
Contractor - Apple MobileMe Support (May '09 - Aug '09)
Provided support for Apple MobileMe cloud service users. Given my background and
experience after a couple weeks I handled the bulk of the Sync Services calls.
Christie's Auction House - Mac/DAM Support Manager (Jan '07 - Jan '09)
Managed support for the Mac and DAM environments in a global heterogeneous
network with reports in US, Europe and Asia. Restructured unmanaged environment,
implemented Apple Open Directory, programatic imaging management, software
packaging and distribution workflow. Expanded central management to cover global
regions. Worked closely with department managers, guided and mentored Helpdesk
and Desktop Support staff. Supported dozens of high end Leaf/CaptureOne
photographers, retouchers and production users. Built a wide range of servers Apple
XServe/Apple XServe RAID, Apple SUS/NetBoot, Xinet FullPress/Webnative,
GroupLogic MassTransit & ExtremeZ-IP, Extensis UTS, QLA and FMPS. Handled
purchasing and leasing of Macintosh computers and Canon Laser Copier printers, as
well as software and font licensing.
G2 Worldwide (div of Grey Worldwide/WPP) - IT Manager (Feb '06 - Aug '06)
Responsible for mixed platform environment with offices and direct reports in NY, IL
and CT. Self sufficient operation with 200 Macintosh users, 40 PC users (liaised with
parent company PC support group), 40 network printers and 10 servers. Designed and
mangaed Mac OS X images (programatic workflow), packaged all software for
distribution following Apple's guidelines, and implemeted central management for the
Mac environment. Built a variety of Macintosh servers (file servers, database servers,
etc.). Managed IT budget, contracts and agreements. Death in the family, resigned
position. Recommended a suitable replacement who held position for two and a half
years.

Polo Ralph Lauren - Senior Macintosh Administrator (Apr '04 - Feb '06)
Partnered with an Apple Enterprise Systems Engineer to migrate Mac environment
from antiquated OS9 to OSX. Leveraged existing AD infrastructure and implemented
OpenDirectory for central management using Apple Workgroup Manager. Created
custom Mac OS X images and deployment processes, software packaging, pushing
via ARD and Altiris. Leveraged Unix features in OSX including cron, login/logout
hooks, launchd, etc. Created and managed central asset management database for
Macintosh software, hardware and change control. After project was completed, hired
to manage Mac environment full time.

Clients included Polo Ralph Lauren, TBWA\Chiat, New York Magazine, Publicis, C2
Media, Admento Promotions, Blue Digital Imaging Group, ClassicalConcepts, Beth
Schiffer Photo Labs, Carlos Vega Design, GarfieldMarks and many more.
Morgan Stanley - Macintosh Systems Manager (Oct '00 - Nov '01)
Managed Mac support for a 40 user creative design Macintosh environment in NYC.
Created, deployed and maintained Firm's first Mac OS 9 Build using NetOctopus and
ASR. Packaged and pushed all software, updates, upgrades and configuration changes
over the network and centrally managed settings. Restructured and redefined many
aspects of workflow to increase efficiency and reduce downtime and waste. Handled
all hardware and software purchases for the Mac environment. Created FileMaker
database to track assets. Administered department's Xinet FullPress workflow server.
Lippincott & Margulies (MMC) - Senior Mac Support Tech (Oct '99 - Oct '00)
Responsible for supporting 70 users in NY, CA and MA. Configured, maintained and
administered several AppleShare IP file servers, Quark License Administrator server,
Filemaker Pro Database server, Eudora Internet Mail Server, Retrospect Backup
Server, Macintosh desktops and laptops. Supported a wide range of peripherals,
including portable and conference room projectors, high end scanners, digital
cameras, workgroup laser printers, and Palm devices.
The Color Wheel - Production Technician (Jan '89 - Sep '99)
Began in C-Print production (small to mural sized prints, large format copy camera,
etc.). Advanced to digital output services (Iris, Durst Lambda, NovaJet, etc.). Image
retouching, troubleshooting client QuarkXPress layout files, flat art scanning. Over
time I became the go to person for day to day support including troubleshooting
problem files and fonts, Mac workstation issues, small and large format printer and
RIP issues.
Color By Pergament - Service Bureau Technician (Jan '86 - Jan '89)
My civilian career began at O'Henry Film Works, owned by Henry Pergament.
Customers would drop off rolls of film and we would process the film and print
through 50 foot Kodak print machines. Sent to Kodak for training on color
management, film and print process controls, etc. Within a few months Henry
Pergament transferred me to his professional services division - Color By Pergament.

Responsibilities there included convention color photo printing and large format copy
camera and internegative work. Eventually went on to murals and custom C prints.
US Army - Field Artillery, Special Weapons (Jan '79 - Jan '85)
Enlisted as Field Artillery (13B), was selected for the Special Weapons team (nuclear
weapons technician - secret clearance). Selected to attend the US Army Non
Commissioned Officer's Academy, graduated with honors.
