JOB OBJECTIVE:

EXPERIENCE:

ATI(Apr.-May 2012): 5 weeks of PLC contract commissioning work at GE Appliance in Louisville, KY Laid Off, EOC.

Hewlett Packard (3-11 to 2-12): IT Development Engineer, CIMplicity HMI w/ Tracker based MES projects at GM plants. Fort Wayne GM: IT Mfg. application support, PR&T (Product / Paint Routing and Tracking) and shift IT application monitoring / support. From Home and at several GM plants: PSPI and PSPM global deployment, End of cycle and timed process data collection from plant floor (Paint Shop) and tying to vehicle to improve first time quality.

U.S. Census (Apr. – Sep. 2010) NRFU= Non Respondent Follow Up data collection visits.

Advanced Motors and Drives April 2010: Consultant for New production DC motor dyno’s design and plant process survey report of area's for improvement / weak points and improvement options. Brought in by former Merkel-Korff boss and now COO of AMD (sister company to M-K). In end funding issues for Dyno's as I found and reported they needed a backup winding line worse, if current multi-million dollar German winder went down it would halt production for extended period. May get funded in future.

Danfoss Drives PD April 08- May 08: UL thermo requalification testing (load and no load) on 400 and 800 amp inverter drives where design had been changed, short contract.

(2-07 to 10-07): Contracted to EDS doing controls and CIMplicity HMI w/ Tracker based MES projects at GM plants ($40 / Hr). I worked with GE Fanuc and Siemens PLC’s and software.

(2-06 to 12-06): I did a 6-8 month contract position in WI @ GE Healthcare as a PM / Product Development. Engineer in MRI and was extended till the end of year, ran 11 months. Funding for my part of project not available for first quarter of 2007.

Project Manager for 23 channel 2KW low noise linear scan room power supply for next generation (DVMR) MRI scanner. MS Office & Project, AutoCAD 2007 LT.Specify and oversee prototype reliability, Halt and Hass testing.Design / specify OEM tester - testing.Overseeing unit development at outside vendor and transfer to OEM in early 2007.

(2-04 to Present) Electrical instructor for Freedom Academy, 6 counties NE IN. $ per class and # of students.

Part time instructor teaching electrical and other credit and non-credit classes in NE Indiana.

(9-04 to 4-05) Contracted to Kimball Electronics in R&D lab working on HD engine control modules (ECM) and other DV and PV validations.

Was a local contract position to run 3-5 months and ran 7 months as a Sr. Electronics Technician in PCB-/ Electronic Module R&D lab. This Kimball operation in Auburn, IN is now for sale due to loss business and non-materialization of new business. Product operations were and are being moved offshore to 3 locations.

(5-00 to 4-03): Merkle-Korff Industries, Des Plaines, IL. Corporate Manufacturing Engineer for 5 plants in US and Mexico. Worked on testers, test systems and factory automation / manufacturing projects for sub-fractional HP motors and gearmotors used in the appliance, vending machine and several other industries. GE Fanuc Micro, 90/30, VersaPro & VersaMax, CIMplicity HMI, B & K Pulse Noise and Vibration equipment, AB and other PLC's and product / custom PCB design, development, testing. Used PLC's, PID & other controls, analog / digital design, MS Office Pro, W2K, AutoCad. Worked with product engineering department in area's of design and testing for several new venture products. Also revamped controls on 4 production lines, converting 2 old ones with AB PLC2's and 2 with MicroLogix to GE VersaMax's. Downsized after 40% drop in sales over 3 years.

CIMplicity SCADA HMI, MMI plant wide application programming work, also included GE Fanuc 90-xx and AB PLC2's/3's & 5's. Used to track and control production in GM plants, see below:

(8-99 to 4-00) Premier System Integrators Application programming in CIMplicity HMI (DEC/VAX, NT & Tracker) (HMI / CIM / GUI) SCADA at GM Saturn in Spring Hill, TN.

(3-97 to 4-99) Contracted to GE Fanuc Automotive: Application programming in CIMplicity HMI (MMI / CIM / GUI) SCADA, Visual Basic (Windows 95 / 98 / Windows NT). Working at Ft. Wayne GM Truck and Bus and GM ATD, Indy. (Paint lines and Transmission lines).

(11-95 to 2-96) Contracted to GE Motors as TEST / MFG. Engineering consultant at Murfreesboro, TN plant through TADS ( INDY ). GE PLC's Auto CAD 13 and MS Office Prof., Windows 95.

(7-94 to 10-95) Contracted to Delco Remy America and NEW VENTURE GEAR through DuPouy and Associates (ANDERSON, IN 317-***-**** ).( DRA / 7MO. ) TEST / MFG. Engineer in the starter motor area. Working with MODICON PLC's, AutoCad 11/12, and TCP smart touch GUI's. ( NVG / 7MO. ) MFG. Engineer, Worked with AB PLC-2/5 and SLICK-1XX PLC's on transmission assembly line projects, Auto CAD LT, Windows 3.x.

(3-90 to 2-93): LOCKHEED ESC (PRIME CONTRACTOR to NASA/JSC/WSTF) Las Cruces, NM. SENIOR EE at White Sands Test Facility in the propulsion test department. Working on the rocket altitude simulation test stands for SPACE STATION FREEDOM and DELTA CLIPPER. Gained knowledge in the areas of TI 565 PLC's, GUI's, and PID loops. Laid off due to SPACE STATION FREEDOM work transfer.

(10-89 to 3-90): Technetics, Indianapolis, IN (contracted to Hamilton Standard Div. of United Technologies, Huntington, IN. (TEST EQUIPMENT ENGINEER)

(1981 to 1-89): GE Motors, (Dept.) Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Operation ( for 14 worldwide plants ), as a Manufacturing Engineer / Specialist - Test Equipment Engineering. I designed, developed, oversaw installation / start up / plant training and provided follow up support for custom and semi-custom testers and test systems used by GE Motors production plants, wire mill and their local and central QA labs. These ranged for bench top material testers to motor dynamometers. Motors ranged from small dog bone types to 5000 HP AC, and included AC, DC and ECM. I was downsized.

(7-79 to 81): GE Power Supply Oper., Developmental Engineering Technician. I worked one on one with a design engineer to develop, test, qualify and bring to production custom power supplies, photocopier industry.
