Skills Experienced networking and systems administrator.
I have set up, maintained and am familiar with the everyday operation of web servers, DNS servers, email systems, FTP servers, firewalls, load balancers and VPNs.
Whilst working for Mondus I have procured, installed, configured and put systems in place to maintain a variety of hardware, including Sun (Ultra 5 – E4500), Dell, Cisco and F5 BigIPs.
I am familiar with the installation, and maintenance, of a wide range of operating systems and programs, including Microsoft Windows (95, 98, NT4, 2000), Solaris 7, Linux (Redhat), Microsoft Exchange 2000, Oracle 8i (8.1.5–8.1.7), Coldfusion 4.5, BEA Weblogic 5.1, Veritas Netbackup, Linux Volume Manager, Enterprise Volume Management System, Linux Virtual Server, mailman, TOAD and Office.
I am familiar with BASIC, C and java (including Microsoft Visual Basic, and Visual C), and have extensive experience of UNIX scripting, specifically perl, bash and TCL.
Having worked in an internet environment I am aware of security, and am well versed in firewalls, secure shells, SSL and intrusion detection systems.
Working successfully at Mondus demonstrated my good group skills and abilities to interact productively with co-workers in order to adapt to the fast paced internet environment.
