Classes at the St. Augustine Secondary School are scheduled to resume on Monday.
The Ministry of Education says following Saturday's meeting with Ministry officials, teachers, and the principal of St Augustine Secondary School, teachers agreed to return to work, after expressing their satisfaction with efforts made to sanitize the school.
A Ministry of Education media release on Sunday says affected areas were sanitized, re-painted, varnished and sanded to prevent the mould from returning.
Additionally, as a precautionary measure, an air quality test was carried out and samples were taken by CARIRI on October 9th, 2012.
These samples were sent overseas for evaluation and the Ministry continues to monitor the situation.
Meanwhile, students of Cunapo (St Francis) Primary School will also resume classes on Monday from 7:30 am to 12 noon to facilitate the necessary electrical upgrade of the school.
Emergency work has been completed over the weekend and electrical power has also been temporary restored by T&TEC.
