Senior Chemical Operator:
Duties:
Making batches of chemicals, following a batch record procedure, and following standard SOP,s and GMP,s. Weighing of the chemicals would be done on two types of scales, a floor scale and a meter table scale. A PH & Meter-Orion, would be used to adjust the PH in the chemicals to bring to standards that the batch record would call for. When working with the batch records I would have to use good math skills and know how to calculate the weighing of the chemicals. Keep a good clean work area along with and the chemicals that I had used for weighing, use of a floor jack and also an electric hand jack to bring the chemicals from the warehouse to my job site. Resumed the responsibility of Senior Operator, when my Group leader was not there I would fill in for him and talk to the floor manager on the shift to determine what chemicals would be made that day, I also had to take inventory of the narcotic vault, and other chemicals being used. And at times would have to troubleshoot and solve problems associated with the work. On the job I would be mixing the chemicals in large tanks, and using transfer pumps to filter the chemicals from one tank to the other.
