OBJECTIVE
A position in management, construction, operations and/or decommissioning of nuclear or hazardous waste facilities where my broad experience will be an asset.
SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE
My latest position as Site Superintendent 4 included mentoring and training field engineers to develop critical, heavy lift, and ordinary rigging plans. I sized, scheduled, and ordered all equipment, rigging, and hardware. I directed and logged quarterly rigging and fall protection equipment for all crafts. I also was responsible for structural steel erection and acted as backup supervision of all other phases of civil construction. I have extensive experience in decommissioning and construction of nuclear sites, with a specialty in all phases of rigging. This includes removal of process and non-process contaminated piping and associated equipment. I have assisted engineering in writing of work packages and lift plans for contaminated and non-contaminated equipment. This includes scheduling and coordination of cranes and equipment, applying fixative to glove boxes and other contaminated equipment, and packaging for shipment of said equipment. I have been responsible for ordering of materials for mobilization.
In addition, I have over 30 years in the construction industry as a Journeyman Ironworker and two years as a Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor. I have held positions of Project Superintendent, Field Superintendent, General Foreman, and Foreman covering all disciplines of construction. I have supervised up to 160 ironworkers and other crafts. Projects have included co-gen, nuclear, coal and gas fired powerhouses, dams, hospitals, refineries, chemical plants, papermills, wind turbines, bridges, chemical munitions demilitarization plants, Corps of Engineers' projects, and several commercial and industrial projects. Expertise includes detailing, fabrication and placement of reinforcing steel, erection of metal buildings, precast concrete structures, heavy rigging, structural steel erection, and all types of certified welding. I also have experience as an Ironworker Apprenticeship Instructor.
