I have completed my welding courses at Georgia Northwestern Technical College and worked a part-time and contract jobs during that time. I continued to work on my welding skills even after completion of courses by going to the college at night and working with my instructor.

I was just laid off from my job with Kobelco in Calhoun, GA, a manufacturer of large equipment. The third shift was completely done away with and there were no openings on first or second shift. Unfortunately, the company has no definite idea as to when the third shift would start up again, thanks to our current weak economy.
