Experience

I have six years research experience in mining social media, social networks, and

user-generated content to improve information access. My research has focused

on the elds of social media mining, social computing, machine learning, natural

language processing, and information retrieval. I have experience in supervising

PhD students, writing research grant proposals, coordinating workshops and con-

ferences, and serving as a PC member or reviewer for journals and conferences,

including SIGIR and ACL. My publications include journals such as IEEE TKDE,

conferences such as CIKM, Hypertext, IUI, DocEng, and COLING, and chapters in
