PROJECT WORK:

TITLE : DESIGN & OPTIMIZATION OF TWO WHEELER CONNECTING ROD

TEAM SIZE : 4

ROLE : TEAM LEADER

DESCRIPTION : In our project we design a connecting rod used in a two wheeler for two cross sections I – section and H – section. The two designs are modeled in 3D modeling software Pro/Engineer. The two designs are validated for strength using structural analysis using two materials carbon steel and aluminum alloy under optimum load condition. The design is optimized for best cross section and also for best material. Strength validation is done in structural analysis. Modal analysis is also done to determine the natural frequencies under load conditions. Structural analysis and modal analysis is done in ANSYS.
