Reporting directly to the President, managed 7 direct reports and 18 indirect reports. Managed all
cash, accounting and budgeting activity, including relationships with bankers and auditors. Directed
all operations pertaining to Human Resources, Auxiliary Services, Plant Maintenance, Information
Technology, and Campus Security. Chaired Long Term Planning, IT, Safety, and Appeals Committees.
Led the process to replace campus-wide database system including vendor selection,
financing, and installation including employee training;
Introduced and directed utilization of one-card system for ID, recording/reporting chapel
attendance, managing board meal programs, bookstore and cafe purchases;
Directed EPA self-audit in concert with other ICUF (Independent Colleges & Universities of
Florida) schools under multi-party agreement with EPA; implemented Environmental
Management System as part of EPA settlement;
Led in the initiative to secure and work with outside consultant in assessing viability of
majors offered by evaluating their compatibility with mission, financial return, quality of
program;
Initiated and directed engagement with outside consultant (Noel Levitz) to work with
Admissions Department in securing best practices in recruiting and moving to data-centric
approach in awarding financial aid;
As Chair of the Long Term Planning Committee, directed cross-organizational analysis of
best practices in on-line education and the Colleges shortfall in those areas;
Led the initiative to secure long term site plan to control future development of campus
plant culminating in Development Agreement with the City of Clearwater;
American Electric Power, Inc. (AEP), Columbus, Ohio Investor owned electric utility headquartered
in Columbus, Ohio, and operating in eleven states. Utility career with AEP began in 1975 as Special
Studies Accountant with Columbus and Southern Ohio Electric Company, acquired by AEP in 1980
and renamed to Columbus Southern Power Company (CSP).

Strategic Planning Coordinator, 1995 2000 (AEP Service Corporation)
With one other Coordinator reported to the Vice President of Strategic Planning who in turn reported
directly to the CEO and Chairman of the Board of AEP. Developed and implemented company-wide
strategic planning process. Shared responsibility for development of business strategies in response to
the deregulation of electric industry. Analyzed new business opportunities (e.g., joint ventures as well
as merger and acquisition opportunities).
Developed financial modeling to support acquisition of Central and South West
Corporation, a large utility operating in four states in the Southwest.

Directed activities of Electric Plant Accounting, Customer Accounting and Accounts Payable
departments representing six direct reports and 84 indirect reports. Served as accounting liaison with
regulatory agencies, including directing preparation of rate filings and providing accounting testimony

2002 Nov 2012 Served on Board of Directors for FICURMA, Florida Independent Colleges &
Universities Risk Management Association, a property and liability insurance corporation for higher
education comprised of ten higher education institutions and four secondary schools. Insured property
presently exceeds $3.5 billion and its workers compensation pool includes 8,000 employees.
Participated in its organization including serving a two-plus year term as Chairman.
2003 Nov 2012 Served on Board of Directors for ICUBA, Independent Colleges and Universities
Benefits Association, a nonprofit Multiple Employer Welfare Association operating as a Voluntary
Employees' Benefit Association in the State of Florida. Drawing from 21 employers in education, there
are currently 8,400 employees covered in the medical plans offered by ICUBA. Participated in its
