After training on the Queen Elizabeth I was given the opportunity to take over the Celebrity Equinox, this I did for 7 months followed by the close down process on the Celebrity Eclipse. After a short vacation I was personally asked by the company owners to take on a challenge with Royal Caribbean in running the Independence of the Seas for the Caribbean Season. My role on all three ships was a Retail Manager to deliver the best retail experience onboard by providing the best possible service and training to my teams that meets the needs of a wide spectrum of guests maximising revenue and guest satisfaction levels.

I started working for Starboard cruise under the Fast Track Manager which would normal take 13 weeks, I was successful to achieve this within 7 weeks taking on my first Vista Class Ship. I worked in the worlds leading duty-free retailer, operating onboard Holland America Line Cruise Ships around the world, I would offer cruise ship passengers world-class brands and exclusive merchandise. Within this role as a Signature Shop Manager I was to follow the vast array of activities and rules to support the on board crew working for Starboard or Holland America to ensure I create a life time experience when shopping on board.

. Best ever sales $380,000US revenue generation in a Baltic 10 day cruise with a PPD of $15US

During this time I coached and developed several sales associates to become strong Assistant Managers and to date are successful serving Signature Shop Managers. Recently I was part of the senior manager team to format a working program for assistant managers development to ensure they are competent to take a managers role. Over time I was also given various projects that were eventually put in place giving feedback on Promotional Screen Plays and Coaching for Sales Recently I was given the task to make accountable reports on three ships due to performance issues, this I did constructively reporting directly to my District Manager of the results determining the next outcome. Qualified in receiving a loss prevention bonus in achieving low results with a loss of $434 in a six-month contract. In my six years on the various ships worked I almost completed 100% customer rating (COBs) on every ship.
