Skyward Mobile developed a suite of mobile

entertainment, media, and productivity applications based upon

its proprietary APX technology. Skyward applications

b seamlessly incorporated audio, video, text, and data with

intuitive user interactivity, and raised the bar of the

mobile experience. For the first time, mobile experiences were

defined by the imagination rather than the limitations of the

device. The APX platform changed the development and

economics of application development, by enabling the rapid

development of rich, deep, elegant applications across all

mobile devices.

2001-2006 Chief Technology Officer,

North Andover, Ma and Emeryville, CA

Responsible for the technical direction of the company,

including inventing and authoring the Emmy Award winning core technology which

enabled the delivery of live television mobile devices. During

tenure at MobiTV, created more than 40 innovations that have

been patented or are patent pending. Led Advanced Projects Group

which developed first commercial versions of MobiTV products

including MobiTV and MobiRadio.

Cambridge, MA

Led team from MIT in the design and development of

personalized streaming media platform for the creation,

management and delivery of personal streaming media -- a

platform where a stream of relevant content is dynamically

assembled from multiple sources for each individual

user. Acquired by ClickRadio in 2002.

Clear Channel Communications, Inc. (NYSE: CCU) (Formerly AMFM, Inc. (NYSE:AFM)),

Served as Chief Technology Officer for AMFM, Inc, which was at

the time the largest radio group in America with 465 stations and

over 100 million listeners.

Supervised the integration of

internet streaming into the Systems, Services and Technology

initiatives for AMFM including Prophet Systems, Galaxy, Star

Performance and StarSystems.

Oversaw and secured buy-in for the development

and creation of Star.com, radio streaming portal. Negotiated

strategic partnership deals and coordinated Internet strategy

with divisions within AMFM, its stations, other AMFM

companies, and with Clear Channel during merger.

compression. Development of a new codec for high definition

based on ideas from my Master's thesis. Six patents received for

inventions relating to queryable image representations, optimized

data structures for image processing, and fundamental programming

methods.
